19......

Days of school left!  I can't believe it!  This year has flown by.  But, they always do, don't they:) This time of the school year, it can be very difficult to keep kids (and let's be honest...myself ) engaged.  The kids seem to think that when the state standardized test is finished, so is school!  Does anyone else have that problem??  So, I have been working on some things for my kids to do the last few weeks of school.  I have been thinking about things they may need extra practice in, and things that I need grades for.  One of those is graphing. So, I have created this Summer Fun Graphing activity pack.

This activity pack is 20 pages.  It includes a tally chart, bar graph, pictograph, line plot graph, and a vocabulary memory game.

Because I am a new blogger, and I would love to have some followers...I will be having a giveaway!  To enter the giveaway, all you need to do is follow me and leave a comment.  I will use a random number generator to choose the winners!  I will be choosing 2 lucky winners on May 4, so make sure to enter by May 3!  Happy Graphing!!!

P.S. I want to thank my wonderful friend Mandy Gregory at http://mandys-tips-4-teachers.blogspot.com/ for creating the very cute preview image above:)  I am still trying to figure out this whole Teachers Pay Teachers thing, so I am sooo thankful for her help!

Welcome!

So...I love reading teacher blogs.  I could literally spend hours reading them.  There are so many wonderful ideas out there!  And, its nice to know that others face the same challenges that I do:) So, I decided to start one of my own!  I'm not going to promise that I will be good at keeping up with this, but I will do my best.  We will see....

Here are a few things that you should know about me.  I am married to a WONDERFUL man who is patient, kind, and listens to all my teacher stories like he is actually interested in them. We do not have any kids yet...the ones at school keep me pretty busy:)

In my free time, I love to read.  I am a sucker for sappy chick lit!  I also really like to watch TV.  Some of my favorites are Law and Order SVU, anything on Food Network, Biggest Loser, and I am ashamed to admit....The Bachelor!

I have been teaching for 5 years.  I have always taught 3rd grade. Third graders are a lot of fun.  They are at an age where they are can be independent, but they aren't too old to get excited about school and cute activities!   Although I may get a little stressed at times, I love my job.  I can't imagine myself doing anything else!  It really is so rewarding to watch children grow and learn.

Well, there you have it....my first post! I am really looking forward to this blogging experience!
